Mount Qingcheng Technology Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use Monor and its features for sharing photographic works and techniques (the “Service”). By using Monor, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect different types of information depending on how you use the Service.
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: email or phone number (if applicable), profile details such as avatar, display name, bio, age (if provided), and login credentials.
- User-Generated Content (UGC): photos, short videos (if supported), captions, tags, shooting parameters/EXIF, comments, and any location information you choose to attach.
- Communications: your messages to us (e.g., support requests, feedback, reports, rights notices).
1.2 Device Permissions
To enable specific features, we may request access to:
- Camera and Photo Library/Media: for capturing and uploading content.
- Microphone: for video with sound (if supported).
- Location: for optional geotagging and location-based features you choose to use.
- Notifications: to send alerts about comments, likes, follows, or updates.
Permissions are requested only when needed for a feature. Denying a permission will not affect unrelated features.
1.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: device model, operating system/version, language and time zone, device identifiers (e.g., IDFA/GAID/Device ID, where applicable).
- Usage Information: feature interaction logs, session duration, pages/screens viewed, referral and campaign data, crash and performance logs.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies (where applicable): used for login sessions, preference storage, analytics, and service performance.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide Core Features: enable account creation and login, content upload/display/sharing, search and discovery, comments and interactions, push notifications, and features that require device permissions.
- Safety and Compliance: detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; protect minors; enforce our User Agreement and community rules; comply with legal obligations and retain legally required logs.
- Service Optimization and Research: conduct analytics on de-identified or aggregated data, improve product functionality and reliability, debug and detect anomalies.
- Personalization: suggest content, topics, and in-app activities based on your interactions and preferences (not involving AI assistants or multi-agent processing).
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service Providers: trusted vendors that provide cloud hosting, content delivery, content moderation, analytics, messaging, or customer support. They process data solely under our instructions and appropriate safeguards.
- Legal Requirements: when required to comply with laws, government orders, or court decisions; to protect users or the public; or to investigate fraud, abuse, or illegal conduct.
- Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction.
- Public Content: content you post publicly (e.g., photos, captions, display name) may be visible to other users and, in some cases, to visitors who are not logged in.
4. Media Metadata and Location (EXIF)
- Uploaded media may contain metadata (EXIF) such as device model, capture time, focal length, and GPS coordinates. We may process metadata to support features like search, organization, and display.
- You can remove precise location or other sensitive metadata before uploading. Unless you choose to share it, we will not display precise GPS coordinates publicly.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and associated data (subject to legal/legitimate retention).
- Revoke device permissions at any time in your system settings.
- Opt out of non-essential communications (e.g., marketing emails/push).
- Request a copy of your data and, where applicable, data portability.

6. Data Storage and Retention
- We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- After you initiate account deletion, public content will be taken down as soon as practicable. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before permanent deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law or necessary for dispute resolution, security, or fraud prevention.
7. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, multi-layer firewalls, and intrusion/anomaly detection. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. International Data Transfers
As a global service, Monor may store or process your information outside your country or region. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information during international transfers and comply with applicable data-protection laws.
9. Children and Minors
Monor is intended for users aged 18 and older. If we learn that a user is under 18 (or the minimum age required by applicable law) and using the Service without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to close the account and delete associated data, subject to applicable law.
10. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service or legal requirements. We will post updates within the app or on our website and indicate the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of Monor after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
